We are living in Florida now. A link below takes you to our
European travel journal. We hope you enjoy our pictures and writings as we try to keep everyone
informed about happenings over here. We would also like many of you
to come and visit us if you can in Florida. The weather is much better
here than in most other parts of the US!

We used to live about a half-hour drive from Luxembourg and an hour's drive
from Belgium. The region is called Eifel. We
measured the distance to Paris - 350 miles away! A nearby city called Trier
was one of the Roman's northern outposts and the Porta Nigra ruins are
over 2000 years old! Trier is considered the oldest town in Germany.
The nearby town of Speicher is
known for its pottery where the local tradition also goes back to the
time of Christ. The farmers who work this rich farmland can thank the
region's history of volcanic
activity. If you bump into a circular lake around here, it is most
likely a dormant (not extinct) calderas.
